This website's primary function is to serve as an online database ("the Database") which features artwork, images and text that appear in books published by Ladybird Books Limited ("Ladybird"). Ladybird (also referred to in these Terms as "we" and "us") owns and operates this website and the information and materials appearing on the Database (the "Content"). All software used on the Database and all Content included on it (including, without limitation, design, text, graphics, audio and video, and the selection and arrangement of the Content) are the property of Ladybird and are protected by international copyright laws. Further, Ladybird and the Ladybird logos are trade marks owned by Ladybird.


In order to access the Database on this website you are required to input a secure username and password ("Access Details"). Should you wish to be provided with Access Details please contact us at, and we may, at our sole discretion, provide you with the same. In the event that you are granted a right to access the Database your Access Details shall be provided to you in confidence and by accepting them you warrant that you shall at all times keep them secure, in confidence and not share them with any third party or allow a third party to use them. Ladybird reserves the right to cancel your Access Rights at any time.

Content may only be downloaded, copied, reproduced, republished, posted, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed by those to whom Ladybird has granted access rights. Should you be granted access rights, you shall only be entitled to:

  1. download the Content (or any part of the Content) for the sole purpose of enabling you to design Ladybird licensed products and marketing materials (in which case you are required to submit such products and materials to Ladybird for approval prior to any manufacture and/or distribution of the same); or
  2. download one copy of extracts from the Database on any single computer for personal, non-commercial, home use only, provided that all copyright and proprietary notices are kept intact.
Should you be granted access rights, you are prohibited from modifying any of the Content or using any of the Content for any purpose other than as set out in these Terms (including, without limitation, on any other website or computer network).

Ladybird reserves the right to add to or change these Terms and agrees to ensure that a note of the date and clause number of any such amendments will be included as part of the Terms. Any changes will be posted to this page and it is your responsibility as a user to ensure that you are aware of any such changes from time to time. Changes will become effective 24 hours after first posting and you will be deemed to have accepted any change if you continue to access the website after that time.


The website is provided by Ladybird in good faith but Ladybird does not make any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, in relation to all or any part of the website or the Content or any websites to which the website may be linked, and all warranties and representations are hereby excluded to the extent permitted by law.

The contents of the website do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making, or refraining from making, any decision.
